Outside church - Jubilee

On Sunday 3rd June 2012 at 10:30am in St Barnabas Church we celebrated 60 years since the Queeen came to Adeyfield to lay the foundation stone for the new church in the new town of Hemel Hempstead.

We  were honoured to have the  following join us in our celebrations

• Representing the Queen, the Deputy Lord Lieuteniant of Hertfordshire, Lady Joanna Staughton
• The Mayor and Mayoress of Dacorum, representing the people of Hemel Hempstead
• The Archdeacon of St Albans, the Ven Jonathan Smith, representing the Bishop of St Albans
• And Mr Mike Penning MP who is our own Member of Parliament

• County and local councillors

The church was  open all afternoon where we showed DVD's of the original visit by Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II and also the 50 years celebrations. There were also displays of photo's of  the Queen's visit and and history of St Barnabas and Adeyfield.
